The Lewis Library provides all current LaGrange faculty, staff, and students with complementary access to the New York Times Online. With your access, you can read up-to-the minute breaking news as well as archived New York Times stories. You also have access to other New York Times products such as videos, New York Times in Education, and more.
Check out the instructions below to get started.
First time user:
If you are a first-time user of the New York Times online, navigate to http://www.accessnyt.com
From there, select LaGrange College as your school and register with your LC e-mail address. Once you have done so, you will find a confirmation e-mail in your inbox. This will give you access for one full year to the New York Times online content.
After a year has passed, you must register again in order to verify your status as a current LC faculty, staff, or student.
The New York Times in Education site provides access to content for teachers and educators. Most articles include tips on how to integrate the New York Times into your classroom. You can find lesson plans, videos, and ideas for classroom activities.
Registration for this site is managed separately from the New York Times, but our faculty and staff can enjoy complimentary access. To register, please go to http://nytimesineducation.com/ and click "Register." Use your LaGrange College e-mail. We recommend using the same password that you used to register for the New York Times online content.
Once you have registered, you will receive a confirmation e-mail and can access all of the New York Times in Education content from the same link above.
